159 1.9 JTDM forced DPF regen
Have got the engine management light on with 'have engine checked' along with limp mode. Am confident it's the DPF (can't wait to get rid of it!). I normally get the fault cleared and a regen done using plug in diagnostic machine.
However, I have read about forced regeneration. Is it possible to do this and clear the fault - ie sit at idle where it will rev to 3,500rpm and hold it there for approx 8-10 mins. Also, and importantly, will this put the engine management light out.
As I say, it will rev when idling but not when trying to drive along. Had it before, know what it is, but trying to save the hassle of getting it done with the diagnostics...
Rockin' all over the road!
