Rhythmic squeak and no hill-holder

Recently I have noticed a rhythmic squeak/whistle coming from the rear of the car, I think on the drivers side. It's definitely speed related, and seems to disappear during a left-hand turn. It's not there all the time, and seems to cease under braking.

I have also noticed that my hill-holder function doesn't appear to be working. I don't have any warning messages, it just doesn't seem to engage.

The car has recently been kept in the garage for 2 months and the handbrake had seized on - I'm wondering if this is all linked?

I've ordered some new rear brakes (discs and pads) as I knew they were on their way out anyway - do we think this should solve the problem?

Also, the brake fluid in the front is now over 2 years old, and the rear even older - is it worth getting it changed and if so, with what type?
