Brera 2.2 water in passenger footwell
Hope can help.
I own a Brera 2.2 56 plate. Recently found water in the rear driver footwell. Took it to an alfa garage, and they found water was getting into the driver area and running back into the passenger footwell.
They roughly located where the water was getting in, by spraying water at the bottom right hand corner of the windscreen.
After discussions with the garage they passed the car to a body shop who took off the right hand wing and have now said they need to remove part of the box section underneath the wing as water is getting in behind that (this involves cutting some metal off the box section sealing the leak, welding a new piece of metal over it and then repainting it).
As you can image the cost of repairing it is going to be very high. The garage mentioned that they had seen this problem on a couple of early alfa's 159. Does anyone know if there is possible cheaper way to repair the water leak. Any help would be really appreciated.
