Bought my 159 in November almost totally on a 'I'm having that' whim. Some niggles all fixed under warranty but I still love it. Find when I'm walking towards it, driving it (even to work) and when walking away it raises a smile. Think that is more to do with I'm fortunate to own an Alfa, not a Ford, BMW or Audi but something outside a default choice.
Friends & neighbours at times ask about 'the Alfa' (as they put it). They never did my past cars but they mention the looks and they do seem genuinely interested. Passengers comment on the embossed seats, the aluminium dash trim even one mentioned the red stitching.
Someone mentioned here they get under your skin. I agree, it seems to no longer just be my car, its something I have to look after. Someone also mentioned personalising. Again I agree there I find myself looking/pricing up various things I can do to make it uniquely mine. Never done that with any car I have had before.
What would I get next...... Well I only mentioned to my father recently that if I can I would like to keep it and get another car keeping the 159 as a 2nd car. Money no object, if no Alfa replacement is forthcoming a Jag XF Sportbrake probably. In reality, I genuinely like the Ford Mondeo in Titanium X Sport trim and Mazda 6. But that's a few years off after some trouble free Alfa motoring (hopefully).
