EBC pads are very good and used by myself and many others in racing.
they have a bad rep from the skinflint cheapskates who buy green stuff or red stuff expecting their brakes to stop them on a 10pence piece from 140mph.
Anything less than yellow stuff is no better than oem, and the greenstuff is poverty spec, so I wouldn't even waste my money or breath in going down that route.
Yellow stuff are very good, if you really use your brakes - track driving etc, then you will be changing your pads at 3-4mm because you have put that many intensive heat cycles through them that the pad will crumble. Whilst this is unlikely to be an issue for road use, be aware if you intend to trackday the car.
Blue stuff are a full race pad, but you will need to change the rears too, so you have blue all round, they will eat the discs almost as quick as the pads.
There is something in between, but I have no experience of it.
As the Ti has brembo's, it should be near impossible to get fade on yellowstuff providing the fluid has been changed.
The 2.4 does weigh tonnes, it is a heavy weight to stop, but you know you have worked the brakes hard when the wheels are so hot the wheel nuts burn your finger tips and you can feel the heat from 3ft away!
