Sadly skidded on some snow / ice last week on the A30 (south west) and wrote my pride and joy off.
Few details of the car:
Alfa 159 Saloon
2009 (09) 2.0 (170) jtdm Lusso
Stromboli Grey, mint (A1) condition (as per the insurance report).
Finally received the "total loss" confirmation from my insurers (Cat C - Admiral Insurance), along with their "without predjudice" offer of £7,880....which I quickly rejected, stating that in my opinion I would require £9,500 to enable me to replace my car like for like.
They have now come back with a second offer of £8,500, and I was wondering what people here thought of the valuation, and any steps I could take? (I've already sent a few autotrader / dealership adverts showing what I think the valuation should be based upon).
Thanks for the advice!
