Its my belief that the success or failure of any extended warranty (Alfa Care included) depends on the support of the dealer. The OP does not say, is this an Alfa Romeo dealer you are buying the car from? If so, I'd be inclined to ask the service dept how vigorously they support any claim made on the chosen warranty of their company. If they handle the claim, effectively fight your corner for you, then life will be relatively trouble free. If on the other hand they say something along the lines of "no Sir, you make the claim, when you get the money we will do the repair", then you are on your own, could well be 600 quid down the pan.
On the face of it 6 or 700 quid for 5 year warranty is not bad. Is the AA warranty any good? Well I cant say, use Mr Google to find out. Mine is with the RAC, sold to me by and supported by my dealer.
Hey! Enjoy your Brera!
Someone said to me, "so whats so special about an Alfa Romeo then?" I told him, "If you have to ask, you wont understand".
