Driveshaft oil seal remove & replacement

Hi Guys

Car is a 2010 Spider 2.2 JTS with a suspicious oil leak from driveshaft area

Having perused the official Alfa Brera manual it suggests that the driveshafts should just unbolt from the gearbox and the seals hook out, replacement being a reverse of this procedure.

Is this genuinely the case, or is there a massive "ah but" involving hours of extra work and special tools?
