Having had both a 145 TS Clover leaf and my last 156 1.9 SW snap a belt I now longer take any chances, Which I was told both had just been done. 50k max between changes and its the first job when I get a new car even if I'm told its been done. I now have all the timing tools and do it myself, its the safest 90 mins of any jobs I do on my Alfa's.
Did not help on the 159 though, always thought it sounded tappety, now I know why. Changed all the rockers while I was in and its much, much quiteter now.
TBH I start getting twitchy at 45k.
