Help 159 Door Mirror Cap Removal.

Hi Gents,
Just a quick question, I have a 159Ti with painted body colour mirror caps. One is scratched
and needs re-painting. I want to give the bodyshop just the mirror cap. I just want to know
how easy is it to remove?
Does it just pull off, or do I need to strip the mirror glass, motor ect...?

Thanks for you help

If you drop the mirror using the control switch to its lowest, as if you are looking at the floor/kerb, you will be able to see two plastic "lugs".
Use a long thin screwdriver or such to pop the lugs out, this eases the lower section off.

Then move the mirror to its upper most position and do the same to the top lugs.

Both sets have one off set to the other if I remember correctly.

Then give a good tug. I broke one of the bottom lugs off, but don't worry if you do, it still clips back on no problem. In fact, the second time I did it, I broke a top lug as well!

Moved over to the dark side

And loving it
