I use to do the 156 GTA headlight conversions to standard front lights, splitting them and blacking out the chrome inserts.
B&Q sell a sealer disolver and it works quite well, to be fair I used it more to clean to old sealer off as opposed to help slpitting the units. I used a pick set, craft knifes, watch makers screw drivers and patiences.
The oven will help to soften the sealer but be very careful, if you get them to hot it can turn the plastic yellow and / or opaque.
There is a thread on here somewhere showing cutting them open with a dremmel and a glue gun to seal them back together from memory.
Ahhh just spotted its the fogs. Just been out and checked, yes there glass. The oven trick will work, again just watch the tempreture as you could melt the plastic parts.
