Hi Goram, I am not complaining about my MPG, I don't really care, I was surprised by the high figures obtained by other members.
DPF is a HUGE consumer 15% more, I do a max of 800Km on a tank that is Mway driving, normal everyday usage 680-720Km. I do a minimum of 2 regen /tank sometimes 3!!!
She is quick, to get the power chart above (post 35), I do a test run in 3rd gear, from 1400 to 4000 max acceleration, the computer connected to the Diag socket recording Time and RPM, then I sort out the log done to get the time 0sec 1500RPM and stop the file at ~4000, knowing the weight, size of tyres, gearbox ratio etc etc the soft works out a power curve, however slightly optimistic I rekon. I do 2 runs to confirm data.
So the 4.2sec are dervived from there, I don't use stop watch too inaccurate. It is the real log time. And yes every who used it says it is pretty quick, but a good remap should do it, I have remapped a Q4, but she had no DPF, and the performance were very similar, We raced the 2 cars against each other, also swapping drivers, I rekon if I remove my DPF I 'll be quicker.
I also remapped one for a friend, the guy who bought it, drives a 400HP Mustang as a pleasure car so he's used to fast cars, and he was surprised how quick the Alfa was.
Hence front tyre change every 20 000 km. in 19" P Zero Nero OUCH!!! the wallet, but what a pleasure.
