"Change Engine Oil" Warning...

Hi guys. I had a full service on the 159 about 3k miles ago, including oil change obviously. I had it done by an indy garage as as such they weren't able to log the oil change on the ECU. Hasn't been a problem until recently as its now started to flash up the "Change Engine Oil" warning.. which is rather annoying!!

I already have the free version of EcuScan and a VAG lead.. and found the part in the software where you can reset the oil change interval, but as expected it requires the full registered version to do this.

My question is what is my cheapest and/or easiest way to get this reset? Would the lead I have (the usual VAG Com lead from ebay that I've seen others on here say they have) be suitable still if I bought the registered version? Or am I best just getting it done at Alfa?

Another point is I'm having a dpf removal and retune on Thursday at Angel Tuning. Is this something they could do? And if so is it worth dropping a cheeky question to them on the day to say if they will clear it for me while they are connected and remapping?

Let me know what you think guys, all ideas greatly appreciated!

I wouldn't have thought the re set would have been a big ask if you're spending a few 100 £££ with them

Using fiat ecu scan registered software I have just reset the service light through the 'service' menu and then to get rid of the 'change engine oil' message you going in through the 'engine' menu and select the oil change function.

You're right Stuart it's very annoying!
