advice on buying a 159 Sw 2.4

Hi , decided to go for it and have booked in to see a couple of cars this weekend ... Anything specific I should be looking for , both cars are 2008 models with under 50k miles.

Any advice that will save me money in the long run most appreciated ( ok except buy a golf gti )

thanks , Steve

Check if its been remapped or standard. If the dpf/Eve's been done it might smoke a bit on start up. When I had my 2.4 the remap made the car much more enjoyable to drive. It's quite a heavy nose

Apart from the usual.. Probably the bodywork.. stone chip marks on the rear arches and lower doors sills as some get quite bad and its tends to be something you notice after you have bought ;-/

And a bit of a bug bear with me at the moment as just bought recently.. they have the correct tyres on for a sw!! that being 96Y load!!
