I left my 07 Brera with AutoLusso when I happened to be in the area the week before last for a number of bits and pieces to be looked at. After hearing that the PowerFlex mod was more likely beneficial for the MY08+ car due to the lighter (but less rigid) suspension, I'd decided not to go for that mod.
However, after a bit of a mix up between Ned & I, I ended up with the new PowerFlex front end mod by mistake! What a mistake to make though, what an improvement
Discussing it with Ned, he was certain it would improve any car, simply because the OE bushes are (relatively) so soft that under acceleration torque or dynamic load the suspension moves out of alignment.
Whilst it felt oddly different to me from the start, I've taken my time to work out what's different, mainly as I didn't know any of the roads on the drive back to Bath, and it was Bank Holiday traffic - so finding a good opportunity to put it through the paces had to wait.
The whole feel is much tighter, really pointy and responsive and hangs on much better under hard cornering. I'm sure my engine oil flush & change has had some effect, but I think Gaz156 (& Ned) must be right - tighter bushing = less toe out "drag" under hard acceleration, as it also seems to be a fair bit more responsive to the throttle too - so overall it feels like a much livelier car... which is nice!
So in summary, don't worry how old /new your car is - this is a great mod. I'm getting the buzz back I first had when I got the car - Trip B can s*d off, who needs to know the mpg!
I have to say too that Ned & AutoLusso were really helpful, can't fault their service - just wish they weren't so far away for me normally
