2008 Alfa 159 ti 2.4 Qtronic
I've got an opportunity to buy the car in the title with just 53k miles and full service history (although not with Alfa). It is a black car with tan leather, comes with blue&me and some other goodies. The car is by no means perfect, it has a slight bump on the rear quarter which will straighten, apart from that the paintwork is perfect, the alloys are kerbed, there are very cheap tyres 235/35/R19 on it which I think are the wrong size ( correct me if I'm wrong here), the engine 'hunts' when cold and idling, at all other times its really sweet, there is a slight knock over large bumps which points to a tie rod and there may be a wheel bearing on the way out although this may be the noise of the poor tyres over certain tarmac as it isn't consistent. The car is also due a service and although it has a service history only the bear minimum has been carried out.
The engine is a peach once warmed through and the qtronic gearbox is smooth and easy to use either in full auto or by the steering wheel controls.
I can pick it up for less than £7K. What do you guys think? Any opinions on the hunting etc?
