So I understand. I've seen this Ecotek stuff (and similar) that you inject into the engine, through the intake tube, upstream of the filter & MAF.

Subaru for example do it at every service. What do you reckon?

So after a week with it, it appears to be fixed! And Mangos have paid me the grand they owe me back. And I got the warranty cheques through the post. Hopefully I can just get on and enjoy the car now.

That sounds like a good outcome. Did Mangos pay the full cost then? If so, all credit to them. The most important thing is that you now get the chance to enjoy your car as intended! Good luck with it.
