Alfa 159 2.4 JTDM DPF Problem
I've only had my Alfa for a few months but suddendly just as it's coming up to £70k miles, it is completing a DPF re-gen every 2 weeks or so. It's done it 3 times now over the last couple of months. I use the car to travel to work and back and it's a 20 mile motorway run each way, so I wouldn't of thought it would need to re-gen that often.
It completes the process each time, so I know it's not a case of engine being switched off too soon, so question is, how many times will it re-gen before it goes kaput? I cant afford to get it removed at the moment, so just hoping it plods on but I'm worried one day it wont start at all.
It love the car, but compared to my old 156 V6 (which admittely didn't have many toys on it), it is mis-behaving quite badly. CD player doesn't work, nor does the driver's heated seat. One minute the parking sensors work, next minute they don't. I call her Christine, like out of the horror movie.....I keep making excuses for her, but now with this DPF problem, I'm starting to lose faith! Please help!
