I'm gutted! Looks as if my 3.2 159 Lusso has come to the end of the road
The car wouldn't start today so I got my local mechanic who does all my servicing to take a look. This is his report:

He's made a few calls around (I haven't checked yet with who, but probably main dealers)but it seems the engine will have to come out to check and silly prices are being quoted just to look
I assume this is the end as the car's value is only around 4-4.5K.
It's got to be the nicest car I've owned - I know it's thirsty and not as quick as it should be but every drive was a bit special - Sounded great and on top of that probably the most comfortable car I've owned. I'm really upset!!
It is high mileage but I was hoping that it would do a few more miles.
I thought I'd check with you guys just to see if there is any possibility of repair/recon engine for sensible money.
I'm off to drown my sorrows!
