Front courtesy light woes....

Ok noticed at the weekend the front courtesy light didn't come when a door was opened.... rear ones did, and both the map lights work..

Right I thought new bulb needed. so went to check it Sunday..

Bulb ok, no power to the bulb terminals?? switch still works (well turns the lights on and off in the back...

Checked the fuses. Took the whole unit out checked all the connections, had a look at the board, no obvious problems....

checked it with multiecuscan and it reported an error but no help in diagnosing the cause.....

any ideas? if I replace the whole light unit will that cure it, or is it a controller problem?

Guess you need a multimeter, did you try a new bulb, or just check the old one, may be bust anyhow.
