2.4Ti Another White Smoke Story
When started from stone cold i.e. first thing in the morning.
1-Starts fine buts runs very lumpy like itís on 3 or 4 cylinders and gives a puff of white smoke then is ok-ish. Still a bit lumpy though and sounds very loud for a modern diesel until warm.
2-If you drive off it will be fine until the next time you start it.
3-If you leave it ticking over and donít give it any revs, after about 4 mins it will start smoking alot (white smoke) until it has started to warm up a bit or you drive off. I think this is when the Glow plug Control until completely turns off the glow plugs, as it keeps them on for emissions purposes.
When started from luke warm i.e. after 3-4 hours of standing
1-The car starts fine but then cuts out. If you restart it and give it some revs in will smoke then idle ok but still a bit lumpy.
Even when fully up to temp the engine is definitely still a bit lumpy. You can feel it more that see anything on the Tacho. However when connected to Fiat ECU scan you can see revs fluctuate between about 780 and 830.
Injector Correction Values are about (from cylinder 1-5) 1.5, 0.4, 0.3, -1.7 and 0.9
In 5th and 6th gear if you try to accelerate from 1k rpm upward, it miss fires until about 1200rpm.
The car has recently had an EGR delete and DPF removal with a remap. The symptoms have always been there and have not get any better or worse since having this done. Maybe a bit smokier as would be expected with the DPF removal.
I have tried various fuel treatments, and they may have made it slightly better temporarily but soon goes back to how it is now.
So PLEASE I could do with some help.
