2.4 JTDM Cambelt Change - DIY Advice
I have seen this question several times but can't find a comprehensive answer. So I thought I would post this with the intention that others could add their experience to help me and others in the future.
What parts do I need?
Aux belt tensioner & Idler
What tools do I need?
I have normal hex sockets and Torx bits
e20 Torx socket for engine mount bolts
What less common tools will I need?
Cam locking tool * see comments
I have read the generic procedure on another Alfa site, but the 2.4 specifically says remove the engine, and use a camshaft locking tool. I've read that neither of these is necessary for the careful DIY'er - so what do I need to be careful of?
Hoping that this will develop into a reference for others.
