Engine light again...
The car ran OK for 3 days before I got the Check Engine Light again this morning.
The car ran normal, but the temp-gauge had the jumping needle after approx 15 km of driving. At the end it went to the top, with the extra warnings lighting up aswell. Just like last time.
Read out the same faults (P0697+P2452), tried to delete them, the P2452 went away and P0697 was still active.
Did some trouble shooting in the engine bay, disconnected the batteri, ECU, temp-sensor, diff pressure sensor etc to check for signs of trouble, but couldn't find anything.
Connected everything and hooked up the MultiEcuScan. The only active fault was P0697.
Now I managed to delete the code, started the engine and ran it for about 10 minutes before the CEL came on again. P0697 and the needle starting jumping.
While the engine ran without the CEL on I check the value of the Differential Pressure Sensor:
Idle - 10 mbar
1000 rpm - 11 mbar
2000 rpm - 13 mbar
The dpf was 62% clogged.
This looked normal to me, or???
When the CEL came on the value of the sensor was -1 mbar, even when revving the engine.
Will do some more checks on the sensor tomorrow, the power to it etc. as this behavier seems strange.
And comments FixitSan?
PS: Connected also an extra earth-cable to the engine, just to be sure it had good earth connection.
