Quadro you were right! The design suffered minimal changes, BUT the anchoring mechanism (afaik) for the rear seats are different in 2008 models as opposed to mine, therefore rendering this lot useless.
We just had a temperature drop here in Exeter (down to 3-4 degrees) and I can only imagine how that feels with leather seats. As excited as I was about the whole project, I have to look at this objectively. I mostly do motorway miles, pushing a 30 odd thousand miles a year. The interior will look great with the leathers, but as far as I read online about leathers, usage signs are more pronounced as compared to fabric and somewhat impossible to hide. I would end up with a perfect interior and a rubbish driver's seat in a year
To be honest, I think there's a million other ways to usefully spend 450 quid on the car, like two services or some new front disks in a short while. I think it's the sensible thing to do.
