Help with Brera battery

My battery is knackered on my Brera. I've been browsing the internet for a replacement but i'm a little confused what size battery is best. I have seen 3 available sizes (278 mm long, 317 mm and 353mm)

Will it really matter what size I get, will a shorter battery just need the terminal stretching a bit longer to fit?

The shorter batteries fit on the tray just fine, you just need to make sure the battery has a high enough CCA (Cold Cranking Ampage).

The Diesels need a bit more juice than petrols, to light the glowplugs and what-not. Also, all these cars have loads of electronics to power, so a battery with a higher CCA is always going to be a better bet.
