Our new 159 TI 2.4 JTDm Sportwagon
I flew from Adelaide to Melbourne on Tuesday and picked up our lovely Stromboli Grey 2008 159 TI Sportwagon and drove it the 860 kilometres home with an overnight stop to visit an alfisti friend in the south east of South Australia. It is a 2.4 diesel with the Qtronic gearbox and has only 60,000 km on the clock. It is a stunning car and is in superb condition. It is an absolute joy to drive and an Alfa in every sense. This is Alfa number ten, after having been bitten by the bug in 2004. We plan to keep this one for a long time. Our trusty 1990 164 3 litre is for sale, but I am keeping my daily driver 75 3 litre Potenziata and my wife will drive the 159. My son has my other standard 75 3 litre and my daughter drives her 1981 GTV 2.0. We are all members of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club of Australia. I will be entering the Sportwagon in our Christmas lunch Show and Shine on Sunday. So now I am on a new learning curve and this site is proving valuable. I took the photos below with my iPhone on the drive from Melbourne. I will take some more at the Show and Shine and post them later.
