Would massively appreciate some help with this issue.

I've just attempted to replace my positive battery terminal (2L 147), and using a Bosch S5 005 (as selected by this guide

I've had major problems with it starting - having to open the bonnet, wiggle the cable, try again, etc... which I thought was due to the red plastic 'packer' around the terminal clamp wearing through.

Now trying to install the new terminal it is obvious that the terminal on the battery is simply too small! The clamp is as tight as I'm willing to take it before it cuts through the red 'packer' again - which I'm not doing.

This MUST be a problem that loads of people run into?!

I've tried taking the handle off the Bosch battery but this makes absolutely no difference (as suggested on another thread).

WTF is going on?!
