How many mats should a Spider have?
For some unknown reason my Spider has four mats in the car - two very small ones behind the seats and two in front of the seats.
I requested mats when I collected the car and the salesman brought out four mats. I did enquire whether the mats were for the right car at the time but I guess I was caught up in the excitement of collecting the car and the very long drive home so didn't think any more about it.
The front mats actually don't fit very well and the driver's mat slides around under my feet and has got caught up under the clutch pedal a few times. There seems no way of securing it and I think it's become a safety issue now.
As my car is going back to the dealer to get a couple of problems fixed, do you think i'm entitled to ask for the mats to be replaced with the correct ones for the car? I didn't pay for the mats but expected the correct ones to be provided in the car. However, even if they were free I expected the correct mats for the car!
It's not a show-stopper in any sense of the word, just a minor inconvenience so should the Spider have two or four mats and do you think i'm justified in asking for mats that fit correctly when the car is taken back to the dealer? As I mentioned, it's more the safety aspect that i'm concerned with as i've heard of accidents caused by mats getting caught up under pedals.
