I'm slightly biased as I have a 2.4 TI SW. As I am racking up 650 miles a week right now, I have some experience of it!
Economy - a lot of people moan about the 2.4, but compared to the V6 it is a revelation. I'm getting 600+ miles to a tank. This is on a 60 each way commute, 60% motorway, and 40% A roads. The motorway is slow - 60 -70 mph morning M25 commute, the A road is driven, er harder.
Power - a chipped & dpf deleted 2.4 is a wondrous thing. Blows my old 2.5 V6 into a cocked hat. I would have to drive a 1.9, but I know the engine from the GT - I would think it is a bit underpowered for the real 159 fun experience
All the rest - the TI is great, don't know about other trim levels. Very comfortable, and even a grim commute like that is pretty enjoyable.
Nothing has gone wrong with ours (yet!). Got it at 41K miles, now at 47K.
