Any non-SV Breras out there?

When the Brera was first offered the SV was an option. There was also a standard (non-SV) tin roof variant. In practice the SV was far a far more attractive proposition I guess - to sit in at least - and the non-SV variant seems not to have sold.

I always felt that the production Brera although very very pretty, missed one-piece wrap-over glass windscreen/roof of the concept car and that clean lines were spoilt by the break along the top of the screen. So much so, in fact, that I did suspect the tin-roof version might actually look better (at least from the outside).

Does anyone here own one? Did Alfa ever even build any?

Don't recall ever seeing a non SV version!

If the roof and windscreen was one piece of glass, could you imagine how much it would cost to replace , might be down to safety or cost reasons as to why they didn't, I like the design personally myself though

They were called an S which got confusing when there was the Prodrive edition with the same name . The Prodrive didn't have the electric blind ,saving quite a bit of weight .
I looked at an S at Sgt and despite having permission from wife and doing fuel calculations it didn't feel right. Lucky as circumstances have caused higher mileages!

On the phase 2 cars, they all had rage headlining. The blind was a 575 option. My old new Brera came without the blind. The main reason I went to the older & incidentally better car.

That & the peeling paint

Whilst the Prodrive S has it's merits, the original concept of the long sweeping glass canopy was lost. I had an SV and always kept the curtain open to make it feel more 'airey', I guess that as previously mentioned, there had to be a join line for all sorts of reasons to make it practical as a production car. Imagine you had a stone chip and had to replace the windscreen and roof as one unit !!!!!!!!
Yes, it was a compromise, but it's still a very beautiful car in all its forms.
