159 Steering wheel squeak
I have a 159 1750tb ti, it's a 61 plate just coming up to 10k miles, it drives like a dream and this engine is amazing! This is my second 159 now so I know the cars foibles pretty well by now. However... When at motorway speeds or anything over about 60mph a squeaking starts from below/inside the steering column, it sounds like plastic on plastic high pitched squeak and increases with speed even when travelling in a straight line.
I have taken it back to mangoletsi twice with this problem, diagnosis was it's possible cable ties on the wiring rubbing on the column cowling. They have had most of the dash out and said it was fixed but sadly not.
It's not the end of the world and the car is a joy in all aspects it's just this niggling squeak!!! Has anyone else experienced this and if so found a fix (other than turning the stero up!)
Any advice would be much appreciated!
Many thanks and happy motoring!
