OBD2 Port 159 1.9 JTS

Hi there,
I have a 2006 159 1.9 JTS. I am trying to find an adapter for the OBD2 port. I have been told that the port in this car is the 'old type' and any of the readers or bluetooth dongles that I see online are the 'new type' and I need to use an adapter. The difference seems to be very slight as they are both 16 pin but I have been told it is very easy to damage the pins if I use the wrong type.

I would appreciate any help.

Not sure about type but I have this (below) and the Torque android app. works perfect, I leave it in all the time. Torque gives a lot of live driving info too.

it locks the car, you have to JB for iOS and use roqyBT4 and pay 5€, and dashCommand ~40$ but, when it comm. car doesnt run. if its running, engine shuts down with all the lights, so scary that I cannot continue.
