159 third gear problem HELP

Hi all,

Im a newbie to this forum as well as to Alfa's, I have recently bought a 159, 1.9 JTDm, with 68,000 miles on the clock, It has also had fitted by the previous owner a tuning box from Mangolettsi to increase the BHP and improve fuel economy (in the words of the man at Mangolettisi when I called to check what had been done to the car).

I am over the moon with the car and the first month of ownership has been a delight with fuel economy between 40-45 mpg (a far cry from the big diesel truck I was driving).

However I am know experiencing an issue when changing up through the gears, when I get to third as soon as the clutch is back up and you start to accelerate, it jumps out of gear, which in my limited mechanical experience would suggest an issue with the selectors?

Can anyone let me know if they have had similar issues and what the outcome was, also any idea of a cost for repair as I did take out an extended warrantee but have a limited amount per claim and need an idea of how much I may also need for the repair.

Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated,
