..a whole afternoon of pure agony, trying to remove those bloody pins!!
A brake change should be a matter of a couple of hours, but no, those little ba$tard pins won't budge without fighting..
I managed to do one side when all hopes were starting to vanish, so somehow comforted by the result and thinking the other side couldn't be as bad I tackled the other tyre.. after one hour of blood, WD40 and tears one pin came out, whilst the other had the brilliant idea to bend in place!! I mean, who the hell thinks that designing a pin with a smaller section in the middle is a good idea?!?!
Now the pin is bent inwards, and is pressing the metal spring against the disc.. it's a very uncomfortable area to work in, and I suppose there's not much I can do apart from cutting the ba$tard out, but how to get there? I don't think it's a job that can be done with a grinder, any ideas fellas?
Needless to say now I'll need to get a set of pins if I can't save the bent one grrrrr!!
I'm quite gutted to be honest, any idea or suggestion would really be appreciated!
