I had a similar incident, something hit the screen but I saw no damage. Where the screen had been hit though was bang on the tax disc! soon after I had a crack from one side of the screen to another.
Anyway, sorry back to the OP. Do you have screen cover on your insurance? In any case, sorry it will cost more, do insist on a genuine Alfa Romeo screen. It seems mine had already been replaced once before, and I did notice when cleaning it is was not a smooth curve, it had three steps. I had an insurance replacement and insisted on a genuine one, nice smooth curve now.
Someone said to me, "so whats so special about an Alfa Romeo then?" I told him, "If you have to ask, you wont understand".
Driving Brera S 2.2, wife drives 939 Spider 2.2 and there is a 1972 Spider 2000 S2 in the garage for fun days.
