Brera tailgate rust

I replaced the rear badge (switched style) on my Brera today and found that the tailgate area where the badge sits was rusty and some of the paint come away, I've removed loose paint, kurusted the area and painted over the affected area.

The black cover for the back of the tailgate badge had years of gunk inside which probably wasnt helping and the screw holding it on was rusty so I replaced this with a zinc and yellowed screw, hopefully this wont rust like the old one did.

Just a heads up really as if left this would deteriorate quite badly and is quite a complicated pressed and cut out shape as it fits the badge profile.

Worth a look on all Brera's I reckon, mines only 4 years old and some of the older ones could be much worse.
