I have contributed to the Accelera threads before, and I have an update....
1) I have not been able to fault them in the summer, wet or dry. I've deliberately pushed them, I've driven through standing water at speed, I've ragged it round wet corners. Not a problem.
2) As the temperatures have dropped, I have noticed they are getting skittish, particularly in the wet. It doesn't feel dangerous, it feels progressive and just a bit slippy. It is effectively slowing you down when it is wet and cold.
3) I have swapped to a set of Falken Winter Tyres (same size, £200 each), and the skittishness has gone. Much more planted, just like the Acceleras were on the warmer roads.
So, my view is that as part of a Summer/Winter combo, Acceleras are fine in the summer. I would be less happy running them over the winter. Indeed, I would argue that a combo of summer and winter tyres is probably safer than a single "premium" tyre, and not a lot more expensive.
