When people admire your 159!

Was a first for me yesterday. Mrs G and I came out of mothercare in Reading to find a bloke walking around the SW admiring it. Said he'd never seen such a stunning estate before. Apparently only Italians could design something so beautiful! And he's obviously right of course!

Anyone else had this?!

Very much the same.
I gave my 156 SW to my mum when I got the 159.
Also had the window cleaner last week admiring both the 156 and the 159 when I visited, he comented that the 159 was a natural progression from the 156, muttering something about DNA.

I had a bloke follow me around a shop( scary ) just to ask about my 159! And another time somebody got out of their car just to watch me park up and started saying that it's the best looking car he has seen...

159 Sportswagon.

Just before a guy threw lit cigarette on the bonnet and marked it, he said in a thick eastern European accent, nice car. Im still very angry about it :-(.

When I got the 156 three years ago, I decided to treat the missus to weekend break to Malta. Driving through the city centre a cop car turned on the blues and twos behind me (bo33ocks I thought). He came over to the window and just said I had to look at the car properly I got out and with him walked around the car and all he could do was look at the front of it As a nice send off he escorted me through the city (about 1km anyway) and asked me if I could floor it when I was joining the motorway fairly fun that was!
Then roughly a year ago I was driving through Europe and we got to Poland where a local cop in a Cinquecento pulled me over only for him to say he was buying one and needed to look at it again as he was growing impatient

Get it quite regularly.
Got a thumbs up from a chap in a Maser QP looking at the 159 whilst stuck in a queue.
Kids shouting -"Nice car"
Bloke walking along as I was pulling out of a car park -"Nice car and the right colour(!)"
Caught several people looking at it when parked up, walking round it etc...
In general people glancing over at it.

The only other cars i got anything like this was in my Triumphs.

I too get it frequently. My favourite moment was with my first Alfa, a 156 about 6 months after they first went on sale in the UK, I pulled up outside a mate's house, and the kids in the street ran up to have a look - one of them shouted "Wow! Even the tyres say Ferrari !" (They were Pirellis)

had a few on the 159, more so a couple of years ago than now.

Had a bunch of kids on their bike ride along side and shouted to one another 'look at that car' thought they were going to spit on it of something (being around that age), but one of them said 'nice car!'

a good few comments from postie who likes to admire and comment. When sat in a car park, I notice a lot of looks by cars passing by starring at it then look up and notice I'm looking at them

and a Mondeo driver waited for me to park and said 'that's really nice, very pretty'
