I had the codes cleared yesterday to get rid of the eml & it's stayed off , since changing clutch switch the car goes very well much more responsive i'd also changed the egr as just a precaution.
Regards the clutch/flywheel , the clutch assembly was changed 9,000 m ago but the chap who i take my cars to & trust yesterday suggested that the flywheel was never changed, it's the duel flywheel which is causing the shuddering on start up, and when i mean a shudder i actually mean violent shake till the car fires but after that she's as good as a gold ..
well , i say that but ive still leaking injectors , someones had them out for some reason , i thought id fixed the problem as the pipe from fuel rail to #4 injector had split where it's been overtightened but a replacement didnt solve it so took all the injectors out and replaced copper washers but after a run they still leak diesel , ive tied tissue paper round each 1 & the tops are definitely not leaking but if they were leaking from the bottom you'd expect to see bubbles and there isnt and in the mornings it's very hard to start as it's trying to draw the fuel to the engine where it's seeped back over night due to this leak .
Also someone has bodged a wire to make the electric windows to work , ive done a thread if you'd like to peruse my profile, again it's been suggested it's ( cant remember the name of it but ) a box of tricks that is expensive and main dealer so potentially another large bill .
The parking sensor on the front is bust were it's had the tiniest of taps but that's a bumper off job and i cant believe the amount of rust on the subframe of a 6 yr old car ?
There's no denying it's a lovely car but i'm afraid money is dictating this and i'd like to just cut my losses so later it's going in the auction
