Distinct lack of power low end stumble

Hello everyone!

It's that time of the year and the gremlins are starting to surround the car!

So here is today's brain teaser! There isnt any oomph on overtaking anymore. I thought the EGR may have gone so swapped it out for a recon unit. This has now introduced a low throttle stutter as I get compressor stall (I think)

Basically around 1300rpm light throttle boost goes to zero. Bit more accelerator horrible stutter

I gave it a smear of exhaust paste to maintain an air tight seal.

In terms of acceleration in anything above 4th it takes an age to spool up. I seek to recall with your foot to the floor and it is slow to crawl above half then gets faster.

So any thoughts, any questions..it's a 57 and it had the inlet manifold replaced an head de coked last year when I bought it
