I had the timing belt and water pump done today at the same time had a remap by Angel Tuning. 1.9 JTDm. What a difference!!! It's transformed the feel of the car. It's gone from a grouchy slug at low revs to a smooth energetic beauty across the band. I couldn't be happier.
Clearly I need to be wary of the increased power but a certain style of driving can keep a lid on stresses to the gearbox (M32). But as far as I'm concerned I'll be keeping on top of oil changes, quality of fuel used and enough long runs to keep the DPF happy.

Painted the bits on the rear door (which look like where the door handles would/should have been), as they had started to fade. Surprised to find the are a metal casting, flat black is the colour to use not satin after the first attempt they looked too shined. B post plastics next I think.

What's involved in the wiper arm fix?

And are the leds worth the money?

Cheers

From the owners tech info

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/alfa-...ng-itself.html

The internal LED convesion is a must it really improves the light quality in the cabin. The 166 I had used small halagen bulbs which were very bright. The 159 uses standard bulbs which are rubbish. Do it you will not be disappointed.

If like mine you have to drill the rivets off unless your taking the whole lid off then its undoing the bolts towards the back of the armrest near the air vents!

I'm currently selling one on ebay and pic of the underneath if helps?

Ti wheels refurbished to a shinier silver and the calipers have now been painted red. Looks like the garage did a good job, apart from not putting the TPMS system back on and not putting enough air back into the tyres.

Finally got around to replacing the parcel shelf retaining clips. Not the most exiting fix but far less annoying now!

And it's in on Monday to have the new springs fitted, lower arm and alignment. It's had a vibration in the steering since i got it, so hopefully it'll be nice and smooth next week.

The list is getting shorter!

Washed, polished, vacuumed. No doubt it'll be filthy again by the time I get over to Rivington on Sunday for the NW breakfast meet!
