Drove down to London to see Les Miserables, parked in Leicester Square and got many admiring looks and even some photos being taken! Was fantastic driving around Central London with the roof down.

I gave her a long overdue wash and scrub up today as I was sick of looking at the Saharan top coat!

IMG_20140406_104701.jpg

It was the usual maintenance wash:

- Snow foam pre-wash to get the sand off
- Poorboys "Super Slick & Suds" to get her clean again
- Auto finesse "Iron Out" on the wheels & tail pipes to bring back the bling!
- Towel dried

Followed by the 4-6 month top coat top up:

- Poorboys "Black Hole" show glaze to get the paintwork back up to par
- CapPro "Reload" Silica spray sealant to seal it all together

She's now hiding in the garage for fear of a downpour!

#shiny #armshurt

New discs and pads on the front along with a good clean of the calipers. A lot easier than I thought it was going to be! I've never had Brembo calipers off before, but they're easier than the normal ones.

A wash, polish and seal (zaino z5 and gtech c2).

I've got an exciting week coming too! New clutch and flywheel going in, new 18" 5 hole alloys, and the deep pile mats (i got carried away buying stuff)
Just need to paint the calipers, I always had red in my mind, but I might be getting tempted by going subtle and going black.

New side lights - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/4003473792...84.m1439.l2649. Look good but best to wait till dark I suppose!! Washed. Baby oiled tyres, wipers, window surround etc - all things black. Baby Oil - the way forward! Put new Alfa valve caps and chrome shafts on. Changed front Alfa badge (must remember never to polish it - molto faded!) Ordered new fnt mudflap clamps. 'She's' cumin back to life!

Had new battery fitted along with a new headlamp bulb. Serviced, new battery, only tyres to go!
Almost forgot. Washed and tar spotted. Scrubs up well!

Had four wheel alignment done on the new 'Hunters' kit at a garage in Coventry. They spent just over an hour checking and resetting. Can't grumble at £60 and I'm a right tight #^*%!

New rear windscreen fitted today as a lot of the heater elements on the rear screen were broken and the radio hissed frequently. Looks like a good job so far.

Some PIAA silicone wipers turned up yesterday as well, I will fit them when I get the Duxback treatment for the windows.

I love this but it's so typical of many Alfa owners. We all make little mods but more often than not they're subtle and tasteful. That's what makes our alfa our alfa!

In the spirit of the thread, I've just spanked £50 on the Bilt Hamber website on their wax, polish and clay bar. Bilt Hamber keep coming top of the the auto express group tests so I figured I'd give them a go. Hopefully we'll have some good weather over easter weekend and I can give my Bella a good spring clean.

can I ask blonde question?

when installing that Sony Nav Stereo, how does it work with car management? Is it simple "unplug old original device and plug in new, find the options in new device menu?"

I have original Nav device which gets on my nerves because for typing the address one needs to rotate and push buttons like in middle ages. not to mention the rip off (some 280 EUR in Germany) for updated maps.

it is pitty that AR has placed such old fashioned system especially if one has model with Bose sound system

There is a how to guide in the stickies, as far as integrationist concerned, it won't work with the console in the speedo cluster or blue and me

so, this means all car settings (time, date, trip reset etc) have to be done on speedo cluster?

oh my ... never liked that version of screen and never managed to get all options from manual shown on that screen

thanks for answer
