Taken mine in for repair.

Would you believe there are no new steering racks available in the UK for a 159? Mine has to be removed and sent off for repair.

Managed to get through 500mls of fluid in just 8 miles travelling to the garage. Had to stop and top up twice on the way.

Left it at home and took the Astra to work because the Alfa tank is empty and I can't afford to fill it.

Had a new stereo fitted today, a Pioneer AVH-8400BT complete with a parking camera and a TV tuner for when I park up early at the football.

Spent 3 hours washing waxing and polishing the Spider, not in bad nick for a 2008 with less than 30k on clock but lots of minor scratches to sort. Evidence of a cat attempting to sit on the soft top clawing its way up the side of the car near the rear of the hood which will see tomorrow out trying to fix the claw marks in the carbonio black paint...

Yesterday I did this:-

Basically, contemplating a GT86 to replace the Brera so took it out on some testing Country roads to see if it still thrilled me, & it did

I wouldn't blame you for contemplating a GT86.
Exactly the car I have my eyes set on in 12 months! Either that or the BRZ version.

Have you driven one yet? I have. Hmmmmmm........want one now!

Had all 4 wheels off and inspected all the suspension / brakes to check for wear / damage etc that could be responsible for the knocking I am hearing. No visible signs of wear or damage and no play so thats ok then, but the knock is still there!

Also removed and refit the front inner arches to stop some rattles, and generally tightened everything up front and rear while adding some padding between panels where it could potentially cause noise.

The search for the mystery knock continues.....

Heat shield?

I drove mine today, and looked at it, and admired it, and that's about it, although I cleaned it in and out.

Nothing under the car is moving. I spent hours knocking, prodding and then subsequently cable tying

One knock on mine was a loose steering rack bolt, accessible while you've got the car jacked up and a wheel off.

Gave it blast to get rid of the soot build up from too many short journeys then cleaned the inside!

Was hoping to give it a good run out to see how it works and meet up with a fellow forum member, but as per normal family got in the way.

Took the Brera to Veloce for them to diagnose a overheating issue. Turns out one the pipes had sheared off!

Veloce's have been brilliant. But then again looks like I will be seeing them on a regular basis.

Brera 1750Tbi Ti

Received my Blue & Me ipod adaptor and connected it to my ipod touch 64 Gb. And surprise surprise, it works! Happy days and the ipod now resides neatly in the glovebox. No problems leaving it connected in. It plays almost instantly on startup and no issues selecting new albums etc. Got another ipod classic for work
