Spare wheel on and a trip to a tyre place tomorrow to see if the nail/screw will cost me a new tyre.

Looks very similar to the ones on fleabay apart from the light surround as coxy already mentioned: http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_tr...9800&_from=R40

I started detailing my Brera two weeks ago. I clayed and polished, then the rains came. Didn't stop for two weeks, but Saturday the sun came out, so I finished what I had started. After a wash, then touching up some rough spots the polishing had revealed, I applied a couple coats of wax.

I ached by the end of the day, but the results were truly worth the effort. And, I found a flake in the paint, so it must be the Carbonio black, rather than the standard black. I've decided black is beautiful...

Looks fantastic, well done.

I had a black GT and that also looked fabulous once it had been cleaned.

Ya I spotted that… after a bit of looking around I can safely say that car has been in an accident and has had either a new bumper or had it resprayed by someone that hasn't looked at another standard spec 159!

And there lies the rub! This is my first black car. I never realised how quickly they show the dirt. Mind, all this exercise is getting me fit.

Today I've taken that little rubber strap off the fuel filler cap. You know the one, the bit that tangles up every time you go to fill up!
Don't really need it as it hangs off the fuel flap anyway

No curb damage on them mate, its all from pot holes & high speed stone impacts!

Also, I think its a side effect of the process they had applied to achieve the look (strip / powder coat / spray face / clear coat). The base powder coat that is black is still un-chipped but the silver & clear that was sprayed over the faces to achieve the metallic finish is coming away where its had impacts.

I'm going for a straight powder coat this time. (eventually!)

for now I am however keeping my OCD in check....

It might be worth starting a whole thread on this one!
I spend hours a day reading this forum and thinking about ways to "improve" my car, when there is absolutely nothing wrong with it! I didn't have this problem when I owned a Renault Laguna. It must be an Alfa curse?

Looking at your peeling wheels , I don't think I'd go for that type of refurb ------ 18 mths only is very poor value , depending on what the cost was of course.
Didn't get to see your all singing/dancing lighting Jay , as Ned was out of stock last Thurday on the powerflex adjusters --------------- going in tomorrow though

Fitted a little carabiner in the boot so I can stop my work bag touring the inside of the boot on the commute.

Sat swearing at it as it wouldn't start, luckily my new OBD reader arrived in time, seems my initial thoughts on it being the crankshaft sensor were incorrect, next to no fuel pressure.
Luckily FX monkee was on hand to advise me on some extra tools on multecuscan, priming the fuel pump got it starting, so still need to find the cause, but starting with a new fuel filter, and checking the fuses.

I don't think you'll be disappointed with those discs. Nearly 4 months on with mine, and along with the PF pads (and braided flexis), now that they're well bedded-in the stopping power is phenomenal, .

Today on mine, 4 x Vredestain Ultrac Sessantas fitted. Fantastic tyre (this is my third set on this car), especially as they were discounted to c£144 each delivered, . Another tenner a corner to my local tyre man for fitting and that's me off for another 20k+ miles of grippy performance, .

I got them through Tyre Leader, delivered from Germany within 72 hours, .

The price does jump about a bit (probably down to exchange rate fluctuations) as they're currently just over £150 (this morning they were £149, ) but it's still a sizeable discount : Tyre Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta 245/40 ZR19 98Y XL - Tyre Leader

Not quite there yet - so we're more like half-brothers for now, . I'm still thinking about the B12 mod, which is becoming more likely now that I've decided the Ti is a 'keeper' for at least another couple of years, .
