sh***t the grills and handles look phenomenal Coxy. Has anyone done the grills on a black 159? If so how did it look, or was it just too much black?

I am very much interested in painting my grills black, not the shiny parts, just the metal mesh.

Brera 3.2 Q4

Just had some bad news that i thought i'd share.
Just contacted europerformace.co.uk and ask if my Koni street shocks are likely to arrive today

I was told Koni are still running production trials on some of their street shocks at their factory in Holland
and there has been a four week delay so i will not be seeing them untill mid feb
still can't believe i have only put less than 2k on the clock since last march don't really want to drive it untill the car drives right.

Guess it's back to asking the wife can i borrow your orange ford focus st.

They are great to drive but they put out the wrong impression suppose it's right up my street then...haha..

P.S sorry Ned no harm ment

Took it to Variava's for a new cooling system header tank, a hairline crack formed in the old one. All done under warranty, and nice people on the front desk, Toni and Jo Anna.

Almost killed 3 people on roads cos they were stupid and walking through crosswalk like they dont give a damn! and when i was braking hard, I got strange noise from wheels and my braking pedal was shaking( i guess ABS turned on) however it wasnt braking at all.... ah and also had to start car with starting cables as my batt died due to standing on same place for a week. however aside these 2 things that happened I had perfect driving on countryside

Passed its first MOT, which was due on 17th Feb. I don't have a DPF (hence the pre-Feb test) but have an Alfatune remap and HIDs. No advisories and the only possible issue was the HIDs pointing too high, but the nice man at ATS adjusted them free of charge.

I also got the usual complements about how nice the car is which is very common when meeting car enthusiasts.

Me and my mate Graham took all the air hoses off, I took the glow plugs out. We then turned the car over to get all the water out of the engine as it sucked half a river up on Friday!!!!!

Ordered it some LEDs after a front sidelight failed (and a couple for the rear number plate) Hopefully they're as error free as the listing says and will match the factory xenons. Nice little graphic pops up on the screen to tell you it's bust.

I bought four H7 Night Breaker Plus bulbs from Amazon, but didn't feel confident enough to install them, especially in the main beams. So, I drove to Firela Motors in Clapham. They charged me 35 labour to fit 4 H7's, the two parking light bulbs and new windscreen wiper blades. In addition, I kept catching my toe under the dash when I released the clutch. On examination, the mechanic (Raymond) found a heater vent had fallen loose and screwed it back in place. Problem solved. That's my second visit to Firela, and I'm glad I've found them.

I'm glad I didn't attempt to install the main beam bulbs myself. Raymond was using torches and mirrors and having to fix everything by feel.

Race brake fluid and stainless steel braided brake hoses going in tomorrow I've not had problems but can't see any paperwork to support a fluid change from new

What a pain in the a ----------------- se to bleed though . A FOR ALFA/Paul did it for me but not without specialist vocabulary !!!

Just had the steering rack tightened as it was coming loose from the subframe. No knocking, banging and vague steering (scary feeling) now and feels all tight and proper again.
Re-tracked to boot.

A bit of swearing, failed to start, just turned over, happened once before a few months back (after being left in a cold wet car park overnight). A few key removals, re-starts, it started like nothing happened.
Assuming this to be the crank sensor (or cam sensor?).

After my cerium oxide windscreen polish last week, I got some PIAA silicone wipers which I fitted today.
I'm not entirely sure I've done the right thing....but it might be too soon to tell....any PIAA experiences out there..?

Fitted my LEDs last night, no errors or blood lost during fitting

Nothing much since the Racing BLUE fluid and S . Steel braided hoses yesterday BUT it's had a thorough wash and wheels cleaned plus shiny/tyre treatment. I do it every month whatever but if off out somewhere special then in between that too.

Got about half a litre of water out of the Brera.... it seems I've been driving a fish tank the past few months! Only discovered the car was leaking due to the passenger seat belt dripping with water. Looks like this weekend will be spent hunting down the ******* leak!
