What make are the new ones?

Have you checked the others across the battery?

30 mins to fit. Looking much better now, the front was badly stone chipped and rear was faded.
Replaced my front badge today as well with this one.

Question, is your rear badge the type that you press to open the boot?

Re-taken possession as we rejiggled the fleet.
A few months ago I asked my partner to use the Alfa as she was up and down the A19 every day and I was happier if she was in something safe if the worst happened - the A19 does seem to be populated mostly by ends-of-bells.

She's swapped jobs and is now working locally, so we've swapped the Cinq for a Mini Cooper D for her to use - what a cracking little motor.

Washed and polished ahead of her use as a wedding car tomorrow for my Sister's vows renewal.

Stage 1 pre-wash (Auto Rae Chem PH Neutral foam) followed by AutoFinnesse Iron Out on wheels and tailpipes (brings up the tailpipes a treat!!), then a full wash with PoorBoys Super Slick & Suds.

Towel Dried.

Hoovered and cleaned up the interior and Dr Leather wipes treated the leather.

....then 2 coats of Poor Boys Black Hole Show Glaze followed by a top coat of CarPro Reload Paint Sealant (5% Silica good for 4 months of protection)!!

I am officially knackered and my arms are about to drop off - circa 6hrs solid.

Shes all tucked up in the garage till tomorrow now.

Given it a hoover, a good clean inside, cleaned the alloys, washed it and given it an Aqua Wax afterwards. It's been looking a bit neglected as I haven't had a chance lately.

Also got some Meguiars Scratch-X and had a brief go at a couple of little marks. With a bit more time I'm sure it'd look perfect - quality product.

2 new front tires and an alignment, new brake pads and discs going on at the weekend and that'll keep her safe for the winter, hopefully give it a good wash and get some nice photos up on here!

Yeaterday i.....

Learned new swearwords.

******* broken ******* rear spring on the offside. ******* godfosaken seized bolts, and what eyetalian muppet thought that puttin the bolt in that way was a good idea....????
Replaced rear ******* pads which had toasted as they'd seized up. Now need new disks as the old ones are rotten and 90% not working.
We have a love/hate relationship, me and the 159.....

Theres only a small shoulder holding the disk on, if you have a drill bit the same diameter as the head of the bolt, then use that.

Is it the salt and the fact that it rains all the time in England that causes all these problems? At that age our cars are like new underneath.

It doesn't rain all the time in England.

Scotland however is a different matter

Brera 2.2 SV "S"

Visited NJS in Pershore for the first time for a major service and a new undertray (plus all the bits to fit it). Very impressed with them, specifically Neil's knowledge and how good he is to deal with, giving me a full explanation to all of my questions. Particularly liked the thorough scrubbing, priming, painting and waxoyl-ing they did of both subframes that they include as standard in their servicing.

Being £700 lighter stings, but at least I know it's been money well spent.

He did spot a couple of other things that no-one else had that will need looking at in time, but the overall shopping list is getting shorter.
