In terms of location, I have it on the dash, by the right of the instrument cluster cowl facing slightly into the centre of the car (same sort of orientation and position as the tweeters on the dash) so the laser diodes stand a decent chance of picking up scatter from a gun on the side of the road or a bridge. Its the only place (other than the exact location on the other side) that I think is viable due to the windscreen wipers fowling line of sight at dash height.

It comes with a windscreen mount as well, so I tried it up high near the rear view mirror and it just looked shocking from inside and out!

I'll let you know if its any good as I haven't actually driven the car since installing it yet!
Thats briilliant thanks.

Got 3 points which was a result considering!

(48 in a 30, that I thought was a 40 as it was on an industrial estate!) have been bricking it for the last 3 weeks while they processed it fearing a court appearance and 28 day ban.

First time I have been happy with 3 points!

I bought them with the car half worn (4-5 mm thread), I managed 6000 miles on them however it seems that the wheels weren't aligned properly so I can not really comment on longevity. The fronts were apparently down to 1.6 mm on the inside. The Vredesteins seem to be quieter though and a bargain I think @ 114 pounds per corner (including fitting).

Changed both upper wishbones and the passenger side lower arm. Lower arm is a pig of a job!

Did the Brera today in readiness for NAD.

After a decent wash, used Autoglym's trade Radiant Wax (similar to new SRP).

Applied with a Meguiar's G220 DA machine with a hard pad.

Results are great. So easy to buff off with a decent microfibre cloth.

I wish I had de-tarred first though....

Worst thing is seeing all the stone chips close us. Got to get them sorted!!

159 2.4 Lusso

One job complete; noticed a horrible grinding noise last weekend when using the Drivers electric window. Before ordering a replacement regulator I thought I'd do a quick inspection and found the cable had frayed pretty badly as one of the strands within the cable had split.

Managed to bodge it for now by removing the frayed / broken strands, being only one of them is gone I think the fix should stay good for a while. The job of getting to the mechanism wasnt too bad, but the 3 hours stripping and trying to rewind the cable mechanism was a dog of a job. Still, pennies saved for beer tonight!

Also added a can of BM244 fuel additive. We'll see if that helps with the slightly lumpy tickover on start.

For Sure ,Santa knows .Re the Prodrives aka 8C .The dark wheels look good on silver and white &red ,my car is mid blue (montecarlo blu) they look a little ordinary with that colour my opinion only .interesting to see what my Brera would look like with the silver finish wheels . p.s what tyres are you running ?

Fitted an in-line Buck/Boost PSU to my Snooper 3Zero to stop it crashing when the volts drop below 12v on engine start. Its much happier now!

Not a bad unit all in all, but still figuring out the best radar bands to keep enabled while limiting false positives. X Band is off now as every traffic light sensor is X band so it goes mental round town. K Band also off for a trial as lots of residual K Band around shops. Ka, Ku & Laser still enabled which should cover most UK guns with GPS detection handling Static locations & black spots.

They came fitted with 4off 235/40/R19 96Y Bridgestone Potenza's all have about 6-7mm of tread left.

Yes I agree the lighter cars suit the darker wheels and the darker cars suit the lighter wheels.

It may be best for you if you fit one for each band, just to be on the safe side.

You know I'm only yanking your chain.

haha, this unit does every band / type of gun and has GPS based fixed cameras so is very good, but even I cant take the constant noise around town!

Catch 22 !
Prefer the way the Brera bumper flairs out by the wheels but prefer the deeper "V" of the 159.
