Ordered a new lower arm, upper arm and handbrake cables. At this rate I would have been better keeping the RX-8!

Detailing of a different type at 105,000 miles!
Clean, kurust, waxoyl and ACF50 just about everywhere on the front.
The parts taken off fitted tomorrow when the top plate satin black has cured.
New air filter and entire inlet tract cleaned.

Parked up at the local paper shop after taking my partner off to work. Came out 3 minutes later to find someone has managed to crash into it and drive off without anyone seeing, no CCTV in the shop either. Bizarrely the boot is dented around the badge, but the bumper hasn't been touched

To be honest it's just about par for the course with this car and my luck.

Back from a good blast in the Penines, for a work meeting, so a bit of a bonus.

159 2.4 Lusso

Today, I signed the V5 thus taking ownership of my first 159 (2.4 lusso on a 57plate). Picked it up late last week and enjoyed the weekend with it... as though I needed a weekend to make my mind up!

This'll be my 4th Alfa, and its a welcome return. Diddnt realise how much I'd missed them until getting behind the wheel again.

Within a couple of weeks, I hope to add a 'fixed front O/S knocking noise!

Got it through the MOT no problem.
A couple of front tyres will be needed within the next 6 months but apart from that a clean bill of health!

Spookily mine just got through MoT with no issues and advisory on tyres too. Also smoke test with no DPF was just 0.8. Well happy.

I'm running Kumho KU39s on mine, equally impressed in the wet and dry.

Bricked my aftermarket stereo. Decided to upgrade the firmware whilst its still under warranty as I'm going to change my phone soon and a firmware upgrade is required.

After part 2 of 4, it froze and it's just completely dead now. It's gone back to the shop and I've no stereo for a couple of weeks, possibly 3.

Spider Tyres

Purchased 4 Dunlop Sports off Ebay for 150. Virtually new. Would have cost me 600. Got local garage to fit and they are excellent. Exceptionally quiet and smooth. A result I think!

MOT passed easily though

16,342 miles this year, over 4k of those in mainland Europe!

Those 3.2 cars are going to be a nightmare to try and sell on. Massive emissions and hopeless mpg.

That's assuming we want to sell. Can't see me doing that for a few years unless I can get my hands on a 4c then I might

I know what you mean.
Kept a GTV for 8 years I loved it that much!
Pretty much worthless when I did move it on but you can't put a price on the pleasure something like a well sorted Alfa can give.

I think I'll have to hold out for a 2 year example of the upcoming Spider before I change cars, so that'll be 2017 then
