Got asked by a 10(?) year old if it was a Bentley, looked a little bemused at what an Alfa Romeo' was but continued to rave about it to his mum!

Drilled my 'spare' DPF (Paz gave it to me when I brought his AVIC -F30BT, as he had sold his 159), nice 2"*2" hole right through the centre.
Really looking forward to fitting it ( waiting on some replacement gaskets), with fixitsan's dongle just have to flip a switch to turn off regens. Everyone who has even drilled the ends has raved about the improvement.

Washed the Alfa, and washed and polished the misses new TT, then spent the rest of the day fitting a Dension Gateway Lite BT and my old AudioControl LC2i with a spare JL Sub & Amp so the misses new car has a good bass line to go with the sound of the 3.2 V6 in it

Those Audi's, even the old ones, are built like tanks! the trim removal was difficult to say the least!!

Fitted my Discs, pads and Brera S Bilsteins and Eibachs...

Very firm now, fantastic handling but may swap back to original springs next week. Its a wee bit too firm for my liking and hasn't lowered it much at all. I could live with the firmness if it had improved the stance of the car.

Brakes are impressive. The Ultimax discs are great and the improved braking from the Red Stuff pads is fantastic and a lot less dust!

If that is the Brera S suspension pack Nick, they are not Eibach springs but Prodrive ones with spring rates specific to the Brera weight. They also played with the rebound on the bilstein's to match the UK roads (apparently ).

As a point of note, I noticed after I put the Bilsteins and Eibachs on my car it was firm for the first 1000 miles then settled right down and is now a perfect ride and only firm in the twisty stuff so you may want to give it a few miles before swapping them out. The Eibach springs do drop it about 10mm over stock Ti height on mine though, so maybe the Prodrive springs are longer?

It also sits lower now than it did when I measured it!

Hi Jay, I haven't yet measured it, going to give it 2-3 weeks and see if my back can handle it! Ha ha...

Pro-Drive dont make the springs they give the specs to Eibach to make them for them in the same way they specify the dampers. The springs have both the 'Pro-Drive' logo and 'Eibach' on them. I wonder how different they are to the 'Pro' or 'Sportline' springs Eibach supply directly?

Still undecided if I should fit the 'S' wheels? Love the Ti rims but THE 'S' reaaally are quite naughty

Here is the info on the Prodrive suspension mods Alfa Romeo Brera S

Looks like the springs are stiffer than stock Eibachs!

The springs are extremely stiff!

So much so that after using my extremely accurate measuring tool (a broomstick marked before and now after), and discovering that they have actually INCREASED the ride height by between 5-10mm I will be removing the 'S' springs next week and reverting back to the standard Ti springs but keeping the Bilsteins. I was going to stick with the Springs but of the three boxes (height/handling/comfort) they only tick the handling one! So if anyone would like a set of 'Like New' Brera Prodrive 'S' springs please PM me..
They will come with a spinal health warning though...

Can reccomend the EBC Ultimax Discs/Red stuff pad combo though. Very impressed!
Had EBC Dimpled/Grooved Discs & Green Stuff pads before on another car and swore I
would never touch them again but these are perfect for my driving..

GAWHHH, was suposed to clean it.... Neee, its to hot outside! 30 at 10am.
Went for a short drive instead.
I'll clean it later on the afternoon. OH! It's been noise free for 2 weeks now. No valve tapping, no Common Rail/injector ticking, no DPF related issues, no delay in accelerations, nothing whatsoever. Starting to like it a bit more. I ordered brembo discs and ferodo pads, supposedly arriving on monday. By the end of next week i assume all will be fitted and ready to go! 4 kumho Ecstas are schedulled to come in mid july or august first days to!!!

Mine came with a rear spoiler, sometimes I see a car without it and think it looks nicer, other times I think the spoiler looks better. So I would not pay money for one.

180 miles around the Evo triangle & north Wales in general. Thorough spanking. 14.5mpg, 76.89 worth of V Power Nitro

In tricky conditions, it kept an M3 honest

Really pleased with the PF pads, hoses, fluid combo & the PZero Nero GT tyres are fantastic.

Hi,Changed the front brake pads on my Spider today at the second go at getting the pins out of the Brembo calipers, two came out without to much drama but mangled the other two on the end but they came out without having to cut them. All tryed and tested ready for the MOT next week.

wash, dry, 3/4 of a bottle of Autoglym tar remover, SRP, wax and rain repellent on the windscreen and rear window. took a while, but totally worth it!
