What sort of noise was it making and did it fix the problem?

The noise was a loud grinding kind of noise when the steering wheel was moved, and oddly when putting the gas on it made a peculiar whir. The reservoir change has solved the noises!

Filled it up with Shell's new super duper diesel, a nice psychological benefit, supposed to have extra cleaning agents in (and being 'gas to liquid' should be cleaner, less soot for the DPF).
Given the inside a good hoover this morning.

Fitted auxiliary power into the glove box for multiple device charging options.

Wired back to the battery for a solid 25amp feed:

But switched by a relay on ignition so as not to drain the battery accidentally:

Fitted snugly inside the glovebox and allwiring out of sight:

Works a treat

Yesterday, not today, drove it like a old lady for about 50mi. Then suffered some sort of brain seizure and abused it on the 50mi for the way back. Performed a active regen on its own at about 10mi driving like that, pulled like a train for another 10mi and then gonne back to it's almost 75hp normal behavior!!! Well, store it back on the garage and hope for someone to buy it!!!

Finally finished of refurbishing and painted my brake callipers all-round. Also took the chance to fit braided hose's and flush the system through with nice new blue racing fluid.

While I was at it I replaced the rear suspension top mounts as I had a slight knocking which is now all gone.

Having got all the dirty bits out of the way gave her a really good clean and polish inside, just hoping the weather holds so I can finish of detailing the body work

I used Halfords calliper paint and high temperature lacquer then got new decals off ebay. Its the cleaning and preparation that takes the time. If they last 4 years I'll be very happy.

Finished off the alternator belt, what a job that was. Also found a leak on the exhaust manifold as some ham fisted ape had sheared one of the studs in the head. 4 hours later with an angle drill she lives again.

Still finding clips not clipped in and things not bolted down. This car has definitely suffered from some limited intelligence maintenance!
